Had to look at this one as I grew up close to Wollaton Hall. Many happy days spent there. Is the bear still there?
Would a bit of fill light in RAW do the job and up the blacks if necc? (V new to pp so I hope I am not giving you a bum steer!) It would look good in B&W with lots of contrasting shadows? From a viewers perspective, I would like to see the top of the building and less tree space on the right (ie you lying down to look up - ho ho). Failing that, the angle feels a bit awkward. Using the right tower on the third line would a crop using a straight horizon further improve it? Thanks for the memories!

I agree about the angle, but I don't think it is the shooting angle that's the problem, just that there are no clean verticals in the image - usually you need one vertical line in one of the towers to make it a little more pleasing - and yes, the top of the tower would be good.
I don't really have a problem with the exposure - unless you go HDR then you would lose some of the blue sky if you increased it much more. Tom |
