a nice trip to san diego proved to reveal some stunning opportunities, hopefully i have captured some of them properly. i really just want critique on the composition, exposure, and focus... but as usual i'm open to all critiques.

I think this might've been better if the boats, etc. had been sharp and the plane had been blurred. My thinking is that everyone knows planes move fast and would accept one being a little blurred. What isn't normally accepted is everything but the plane being blurry. The foreground seems a lot more interesting to me than the plane which currently is the star of the show by being the only thing that is sharp. Obviously you were panning to get this shot. But the amount of panning blur is so minimal that it just looks like a shutter speed mistake.
Alternatively, you could've just opened up the aperture a few stops in order to raise the shutter speed and everything would've been sharp. |

In the upper left area of the shot, just above the horizon I see what appears to be dust on your mirror.
I essentially agree with the above comments.
