Default windmill

windmill sunset 2

This seems to be a a common question right now.....but, does the centering work. I did catch one following more along the rule of thirds.

Camera Nikon D60
Exposure 0.008 sec (1/125)
Aperture f/9.0
Focal Length 165 mm
Focal Length 164.7 mm
ISO Speed 800
Exposure Bias 0 EV
Flash Off, Did not fire

Hi ranchermom,

This is a nice image. I really like the colors and the silhouette is great.

That is such a hard question to answer. It depends on what you mean by work. Is this an interesting, engaging image? Yes it is. Could it be more interesting by moving the subject to a different position in the frame? Maybe. It all depends on what you are trying to communicate with this image.

On another note... if I had taken this image, I would have included more of the sky above the windmill and less of the ground in front of it. The ground is just completely black negative space and I think that the sky is more interesting. especially the fading colors. But that's just my opinion.

Well done.

NIce colors and silhouette.. I agree... composition.. maybe it needs some additional elements.. tree, human, animals..perhaps...? .Just a suggestion..
