Default Palouse Falls Monochrome

Hi everybody. Just wanted your thoughts about the b/w conversion and toning on this shot. Next, does the crop/composition work? Any other thoughts you have about this shot are also welcome.

I'm going to make a return trip to this place this autumn, and would like some ideas to take with me. I only live a couple of hours from here. :-)

Thanks in advance for taking the time to comment.

Seems a little overexposed which is making it a little flat. It almost looks like a flash has been used! I'd select the cliffs etc separately of the water and level-adjust it to improve punch. Also I'm not a huge fan of sepia toning in general.

Not sure if it's possible but I think with the shape of the cliffs you'd get a better, more dramatic shot down at water level, almost silhouetting the curve of the wall against the sky with the waterfall in the left third.
