I think windrider meant a specific thing you want critiqued. LOL!!

She's just trying to help you get some responses. A full critique can be the size of a novel. The reason they want a more specific question is so more people will give you a hand versus just moving on to the next thread for time's sake.

If you would like to post your shots and get comments, the Landscape SYS (share your shots) section will probably get you more responses. The critique section is for help with something specific. From the question "what do you think", some might just say, "yep, it's a sunrise!"

All in good fun. Hope that helps!

I think the exposure is pretty good. I also like the symmetry with the reflection. To better enhance that symmetry, you might try cropping the image slightly so the horizon is centered and there is the same amount of sky and water showing. That will make the reflection/sky symmetry more prominent. I would probably clone out the contrail from the aircraft too. It competes with the rest of the sky and reflection.

Hope that helps!

I agree that the contrail (learned a new word!) is distracting and should be removed.

I learnt a new word too contrail. I read somewhere that the horizon should not be in the center of the image but a little to up or below the center of the frame.
I thought that the reflection of the contrail added to symmetry, I was wrong then, I still do not know how to clone out the contrail.
But won't the image look a little unreal if the trail made no reflection but the entire sky did?
