Default Flying clouds:trying to compose it right

Ok, tricky one..Can someone please tell me if this is composed ok.

I like strong foregrounds in wide landscape images like this one. Is the puddle good enough or is it looking forced?

Now the real questions:

1. I have tried to capture the feeling of being on a very very windy beach, thats the essence of the idea behind making this picture; do you get that feeling through the clouds and the waving trees?

2. has anyone tried "composing" from a tripod in a scene like this with moving clouds where every second the clouds have moved a bit and the frame is changing continuously!!! The exif below should clarify my predicament:
( 30 s exposure and maximisation of DoF with f/13) ISO 100 and 18 mm focal length on APS-C. Circular polariser (Marumi) used with 18-200 mm VRII lens on a NikonD90.

Any other ideas are welcome, I am in experiment mode these days!

Thanks
S

For me the image is just too dark to convey much at all...
Overall feeling is of darkness falling just after a rain...

I think you could have moved closer to the puddle to give it a little more emphasis. Usually, if you look around on a windy day, the trees are bending in the breeze and the clouds are relatively still. However, in your shot, the clouds look like they are moving a lot faster than the trees. For me, the blurred clouds do not convey wind, as that is not what I associate with a windy day.
