Hello,
This is a shot that I recently spent time reflecting on. Taken last fall I was out at a local nature center. I like the curve of the path leadingaway, but was trying to capture the solitude of the fall/upcoming winter. Kind of like the trail is longing for someone to visit. Composition was my method to capture that feeling and use of depth and tones. Let me know if you got that from the shot or could have improved that feeling. ![]() Heckrodt walking for web | Flickr - Photo Sharing! Hi! I like the composition...a tried and true method for drawing the viewer in. In order to get loneliness, it might work to show it near dark when the horizon/base of the distant trees is very dark. That will add to the loneliness effect. Just a thought. Lighting is the best mood generator.
Hope that helps!

I like your idea. Might have to try to recreate that idea this fall. I can totally see how near-dusk lighting would have made a big difference.
