Default Does this composition look okay?

When I took this shot, I thought I did it right; but now I think maybe I got too close to the fence. I don't think I can do anything about it now; but if someone has a composition suggestion, I would love to hear it. I've been trying real hard to concentrate on my composition over the past few months!

Crooked Fence-5186086

Camera: Canon EOS 50D
Exposure: 0.25 sec (1/4)
Aperture: f/22.0
Focal Length: 70 mm
ISO Speed: 100
Exposure Bias: -1/3 EV
Flash: Off, Did not fire

Thank you, in advance, for your suggestions.

Comp is fine. I have 2 nitpicks, though. 1. What's with the vignetting? I'm all for well used vignetting but this just makes the fence look dirty. 2. Why did you under expose the shot? Because you under exposed the white fence isn't really white.

Comp is just fine....Lightwriter might be a little too harsh here. I live in country where there are a lot of white fences and quite frankly, the fences are not exactly white. There is all sorts of road dust etc on them so pure white is not a realistic expectation. The shot doesn't strike me as underexposed. It looks realistic compared to what I see around horse farms. It also doesn't look like the vignetting is intentional but rather caused by the lens but if it was added in PP, then I agree that it should be removed.

@pjflan7

I was not trying to be harsh. I agree with everything you've said. I wouldn't expect the fence to be pure white either but it seems like it shouldn't be greyed either. Maybe it's just my eyes...

The middle section looks right to me and the exposure was probably locked on there and probably tried to convert the white to 18% gray like a snow shot. perhaps that is why the graying is there?

Thanks, Lightwriter. I appreciate your comments. The vignetting happened when I "synced" this with another photo in Lightroom, and overlooked taking it away. As far as "under-exposing" the shot . . . . . just an old habit I've had for years, that I learned from a professional I worked with in Houston. I shoot 90% of my shots from 1/3-1/2 shot under. Don't know if it's right or wrong, or if others do the same; but, if corrections need to be made, I do it in PP. Here is the photo w/o vignetting. It does look better than before . . . .

Thanks, pjflan7. That is the way the fence looked (w/o the vignetting). I took it out, and posted the correction. It looks better now. (See previous post)
