Default Bald Mountain

I took this shot this week. Looking for a way to make it better. I'm not sure it "excites" me. I like the color and the composition, but it just doesn't go "wow!"

Thoughts?

If there was a formula for "wow" they would have programed it into the camera. lol

Beautiful scene and has all the right qualities, but I see what you mean. It needs that special something to set it apart from many others. I don't much care for the shrubbery in the mid-right side of the frame, but I do like the pile of rocks. Maybe dropping the lens lower to shoot across those rocks would give it a little more dimension. Time of day would make a big difference as well, if that would allow you to get some reflection going on in that water.

I kind of agree with Michael_2010. Althought the scene is beautiful, I got a little lost in the tree/shrub to the right.

Great blue color though!

I think you've gone one notch too high on the saturation. I would also suggest a portrait orientation containing the rocks the tree and the mountain peak. The left half of the frame doesn't contain much interest.
