I love it!

I can almost feel a wind pulling me toward the horizon.

It's a nice scene you captured here.
I like the lines created by the river cutting through the frame.

Things I would suggest:
Get the horizon straight.. it feels slanted down to the left.
And the thing that I was feeling but couldn't figure out right away was the lack of any foreground interest. Pay attention to all the landscapes that you find to be awesome, and I bet many (if not all) have some foreground interest.
Or change your perspective, get really low to the ground..
The ground feels a bit underexposed, but that may just be me.

In the end it's a very nice shot, you should be happy with it. I just thought you'd like an opinion as to why it doesn't blow me away.
Keep shooting and welcome to DPS!

Great shot. You captured a nice sky there! BigFuzzy already pointed out, that some element which acted as point of interest in the foreground would improve it overall, and in my opinion could also give the viewer a better sense of depth and dimensions.

Finally, I recommend you to provide EXIF data whenever you submit further pics for critique. It always helps.

PS: for a moment I thought it is a slightly processed HDR pic

Thank you all for the comments....my camera settings for this picture were:

Shutter Speed: 1/15 second
Exposure: Manual
Aperture: f/22
ISO: 100
Focal Length: 18 mm
Lens: 18 - 55 mm

I was trying to get a foreground presence with the purple wild plant in the lower right corner. Do more people agree that the foreground is under exposed....I might need to check my monitor brightness if that is the case....

That definitely has to be a monitor issue, because I don't think the foreground could go much in either direction and maintain the feel of the capture. On my monitor the foreground is pretty well defined as far as exposure goes.
