Greetings everyone-
First post here! I'm excited to contribute and get to know everyone. My name is Dave Taylor, I'm a photographer based near Anchorage, Alaska. I specialize in "Alaska's Wild Lands & Wild Life". My business, Sixtyone North offers amazing photo AdvenTours throughout Alaska. I spent last weekend hiking near my home, in Hatcher Pass (a pass in the Talkeetna Mountains) just north of Anchorage, Alaska. We had great conditions and light in the evening just before sunset, then the rains moved in. I sprained my ankle at mile 2.5 of the 6 mile hike in, on Saturday morning. Then twisted the already very sore and stiff ankle TWICE MORE on the hike back out the next day. Of course, all of this was done while schlepping a 55 pound backpack over steep rocky slopes. Still, very worth it. I'm recovering well, spending this weekend working on images and icing the ankle I invite you to visit my website - I have 1 teaser video trailer for an upcoming Alaska adventure show that I'll be featured in & the first in a series of "Tips from the field" videos that good friend and producer Scott Slone of Alaska HDTV and I are collaborating on. It's a very exciting project involving high quality 1080P video filmed in some of the wildest places in Alaska, documenting how photographers and videographers work in this state. I hope you enjoy them! Just click the link below and then click the "Photography-Online Galleries & Videos" menu option. The videos are just below the galleries. Online Galleries & Videos | Sixtyone North Of course, comments & critiques always welcome! A bit about this image - This is a single exposure, with the sky toned down slightly in Lightroom using a digital grad filter.
