This was just after a stormthat we were right on the edge of, about an hour before dark.

What a beautiful scene! The clouds are very dramatic. A couple things that would make it better:
1. I would have locked in the focus and then moved the camera slightly down and to the right so that the dock was straight and level, leading the eye out to the lake and the clouds. 2. I would try to clone out the boats etc. on the lake as they are distracting.

I like the iridescent quality of the lower level clouds. Beautiful scene, but I agree about straightening the end of that pier.

Thanks all for the insight! I didn't even think about the end of the dock or the boats :}

And thanks for the guidelines. Was my first critique shot so now I know what to include next time.
