![]() I'm wondering if I included too much of the large cloud in the picture? It was taken at clingman's Dome, which is high enough to be up in some clouds, so I thought it might be interesting...but i'm not sure... -10 images stiched with Hugin -Nikon D3000 18-55 @20mm -f/11 1/200sec -CPL used -iso100 (and since it was quite a bit of a hike up the hill, this was done w/o a tripod or release...) This is just my experience, but when stitching many photos together it is easy to get into a trap of thinking you have to use them all to create the final product. I would crop the right hand two thirds of this image. It will get rid of all the useless cloud on the left third, and create a nice focal point. At the moment 30% of the image is of nothing in particular, so it is confusing what the subject is really about.

I should mention that it is often necessary to include certain things like the trees in order to do the stitch. But then crop them out afterwards to make the final image. You should get a nice frame by the sloping hill on the right, and the background mountain sloping to the left of the frame, and the trees in the centre just poking in.

I think the cloud on the left is doing nothing for the image.

Thanks guys, what you've said is pretty much what I was already thinking. It just helps to have an outside perspective, because after looking at it for an hour or so stitching and what-not, it just looked wrong to crop it; but I'll try it anyways:P
