Default Street in the evening light

This one if from yesterday, around 5 pm local time. Unfortunately at this size the texture of the asphalt does not come out as it does in real size, thank you for advice in advance...

Exifs are in the picture but for those who don't have exif viewer etc.

Unfortunately, I dont think that the asphalt makes for an interesting subject on this particular shot.
The shot would have better been served with foreground as blurred and the background being sharp. Opposite of what it currently is. And maybe a cropping out some of the asphalt.

Despite that, it does look like it was a beautiful sunset.

maybe just a personal preference here, but I would crop the left side a bit more. I don't really like the house there it seems out of place to me with the lines created by the other houses and the power lines.. actually, i kinda like the asphalt... but I'm by no means a professional opinion haha.

I'm not sure, but I think it is because of a PP lighting of the foreground that it produces a grayish contour around some elements, especially the roof at the upper-left corner and the pole at the upper-right corner. I experienced a similar effect many times when heavily using the "fill light" function in Lightroom.

Thanks for the input so far.
@mwanafunzi I actually took a bunch of shots, some with the tree in focus, some with the street and some with no real focus point at all, testing how it would effect the "mood" of the picture. I was actually very tempted to show the one with no real focus at all (it has a way warmer temp. because it was measured straight against the sun)
@z0mbina80 yeah I don't like the house as well but when I crop it more I lose either the aspect or the asphalt. Will pay more attention when I shoot the next time.
@aleix, this effect is already in the raw (I think it is caused by the fact that the picture was taken against the descending sun and the light gets some how bend or what ever on the edge of the roof and it is some what in the blur of the lens) but it is slightly amplified by me pushing the sliders in LR.

Try cropping out the large irregular asphalt shape at the very bottom of the picture so that it starts just above that with the gravel texture (with the distant irregular shape still in the middle of the road). When I block it out on my screen it seems to make the texture stand out more and I like the proportions.

It's actually not too bad, one might not notice it easily unless he knows what to look for. In my case, it happened so often that I am now look for it in most contrasty pics ...

Greetings
