Default Landscape - wineyard

Hi, i take this shot with my nikon D40X and want you to give some criticism.
I take the shot at 07:06 in the morning.
Focal length 18mm
F/22
1/40
ISO-100
Aperture priorety mode

I'm Not really the best to critique but think this phot would of been better shot from the hill on your left as with the sun in the middle of the photo you really can tell would your shooting .

Duif,

Other than sunrise, sunset, or tree-filtered Sun, the big white blob is not something anyone can get much enjoyment from. The light it gives is fantastic, as long as you get away from the direct Globe of Fire itself. As jujitsu1 points out, a position more to one side, maybe higher up, shooting down some, would help give the landscape a better chance to be seen clearer. There are some great colors in the vineyard, it's just hard to see them.
