Hi Tallshot,
I love the way you have captured the colours in this picture! However, when I look at your photo, I find the single pink flower to the left somewhat distracting and tending to pull my attention from the beautiful cluster you have captured. Perhaps you can try cropping it out? I'm only new to photography though, and others may have more useful comments to provide. |

maybe better if you got in closer.
using a point and shoot means you cant use depth of field to isolate a subject, so composition is more critical. also midday is a bad time to shoot most things, bright light and dark shadows causes problems for digital cameras, so maybe think about using a flash to 'fill in' the shadows witha little bit of light |

Cud is right. Midday is really bad for shots. The harsh light doesn't do justice to your photo. I'd also try coming closer and maybe include only part of the flower to show bigger petals. Try and create a unique composition. It depends though, on what you are trying to achieve.
