Default Split Screen

Split Screen

I took this shot quickly because I wanted to get back to it and do it right. So far, I haven't had the time. Any suggestions on how to set it up correctly? I liked the wall in the middle dividing the shot and the light that comes in the house is awesome.

Obviously when you go back to shoot it, you'll straighten out the ceiling line so it's horizontal. Depending on what the wall looks like, this might work out well as an HDR where you get one exposure for the bright warm sunlight and another to bring in the detail of the wall.

As is, the light is interesting, but there is no real subject matter. If you could get two different people doing very different things on either side of the wall, then that could add some interest and more meaing to the split screen thought.
There is also a lot of dead space off in the left that youd should get rid of. Moving a little around to the left could help.

I agree with pgt123. I think maybe one person putting shoes on in the hallway and another going in the refigerator for something on the others side. I would face them opposite from each other, so their backs would be to the dividing wall. You definitely have to do something with the lighting on the centeral wall. It's too dark, and yes, the horizontal composition needs to be straightened out a bit.
