Default Alley

This photo is was taken in Mdina, the once capital city of Malta. It was quite cloudy that day. Anyways, I always loved the narrow streets and alleys of Mdina and I thought as soon as I was about to enter it 'I have to shoot this alley'. I first took a coloured photo and then converted it to B&W using my camera's settings. Basically I am looking for critique firstly of the pic in general but also regarding the contrast. What do you think of the B&W

Sqaq (Alley)

Camera: BenQ DC E720
Exposure: 0.005 sec (1/200)
Aperture: f/2.8
Focal Length: 6.2 mm
Exposure Bias: 0/100 EV
Flash: Flash did not fire

PS I also edited the bottom right hand corner of the pic since i had left the time and date on so I had to clone it out with GIMP. Did anyone notice?

Please comment

This is an excellent shot. Love the pathway leading to who knows where. Love the b&w tones.

Hi DPS --

I just moved this shot over from Share My Shots at the member's request, and have asked Sindagon to edit the original post to add EXIF and ask for specific guidance.

So let's not pile on Sindagon (or zap this thread) just yet for not being in compliance with the Rules here...

Very nice shot, good contrast, and I do like the B&W.... the top has the one bright spot, which I didn't notice at first, but once I did it became a little distracting.... overall, beautiful
