I was in Heidelberg Germany last week. Walking back to my hotel from the Old Town along the Neckar River I took a series of pidtures of the moon shining over the river. I slected this picture because I like the reflections in the still river, the streaks of light from cars driving over the bridge, and the crescent moon. I put my camera on a wide handrail and used the self timer to avoid any potential shake. This is the image direcly out of the camera after conversion from raw to jpeg with no post processing. I am seeking your opinions and what I can do to make it (or others like it) better. Should I open it up a little to make it lighter? You can see the full size image at flickr size by clicking on the picture.

I think it's a pretty good capture considering it was a spur of the moment shot. It looks like the horizon might be a bit crooked but I like the exposure as it is. A couple quick tips (the usual for landscapes)...smaller aperture (f/11 or so) and the lowest ISO you can. Since you had the camera anchored, shutter speed shouldn't be an issue. A tripod is best but obviously not available for this shot.
Nice job!

Thank you. I have at least a dozen more. I'll look to see if I have one that uses moonlight to better advantage...
