I shoot a lot of images of projects that my architectural practice works on. I have been having difficulty in getting the lighting right where bright sunlight and shadows can dominate a picture. The right balance of both can be very tricky. Here's an attempt at trying to capture a piece of a much larger downtown retail development. Getting the right composition is always a challenge as well. Taking the image form a distance is fairly straight forward, but trying to capture a balance between good composition and enough building detail can be difficult to judge for closer shots.

Did you have anything specific you are wanting help with?

Olympus user, Fuji E900, a canon & last but not least a Minolta 35mm and some really old large format box cameras.Not to mention a whole bunch of other stuff. Paint Shop Pro X3, CS3,CS5, Portrait Professional, Topaz Adjust, Lucis Art and the list goes on........

Yes, sunlight vs shade. How can I control it better? Parts of the image are at the point of overexposure, while the shaded area is already getting too dark.
