Hi basu. I like the flutter of the wings and u captured it at a very beautiful moment. The jetty couldnt have been placed at a better position than you already have. But I feel you can make the picture even better if you try to crop the picture from the bottom. The sun's reflection is a bit distracting from your main subject (the bird) and it creates a lot of free space in the frame.
If you get another opportunity to shoot something like this then I feel the bird being a little more to the left of the frame(maybe just before the sun) would've added to your composition.Just a feel. |

I like the crop MUCH better. Having the sun off to one side, and some of the sand removed really focuses in on the bird.

I totally agree. In the first version, there was so much space, and with this cropped version, the bird/sun are a bit bigger, more like the subject of the photo

the second one is certainly an improvement over the first so i'll only comment on that. i think you set out with a great composition idea and achieve a lot in the shot. however i do feel that all the objects of interest in the frame (sun, jetty, bird) are a bit crowded at one place. i know you couldn't have done much about the bird but perhaps taking the shot from a different perspective so that the jetty and the sun were more apart could have imparted better balance to the composition. still, its a great attempt.
