Lilly pads

I took this shot and I feel like there is a better picture in here. Can someone give me their thoughts? Would a different crop help this shot? Is the background just too "messy" looking to make this a great shot? I feel like there is potential here, I just can't find it Any thoughts are appreciated.

Great composition! Personally I think it is fine the way it is. If you did want the background to be less noticeable, one thing you could do is go into Photoshop, and turn down the green saturation; not all the way, but just enough to make the flower really pop. This is something that can easily be overdone though, so it is really up to your personal taste. TFS
