i like the surrealism that comes through in this shot. however, i'd have cropped it a lot tighter so the little island was along the top or bottom 1/3 line. in its current size i found myself scrolling up and down the frame hoping to see something else interesting in it but getting disappointed to find only empty space spread out equally in the two halves. anyways, that's my personal opinion.

Totally agree with the crop suggestion. Put the island high and you've got a surreal in the sky floating island. Put it low and it's recognizable for what it is. I think this is an awesome photo (very nice gradient around the island) and it will take off with the crop.

WOW that photo definitely has potential! I absolutely love shots like this. I agree with everyone else though, I also found myself scrolling up and down with my eyes trying to decide if the sky or the water was more important (which is hard to do because they look the same)
. I would definitely keep it in the portrait format when you crop it though, it definitely adds to the surrealism.

I love this image! I love the mystery that foggy scenes bring. I think it'd look awesome cropped, but I sort of like the island in the middle. I know generally you're supposed to use the rule of thirds, but it kind of adds to the lonliness and isolation of the island that there is so much space above and below it.
