I really love the sky in this image. Start to work on your creativity. The elements are there in the image, and you are starting to see, but you have to start looking at images from the viewpoint of what the camera sees.
For example you have a wide angle lens. Lie down on the ground, get closer to the house and then shoot up. Some times you can use a lens to over emphasize the objects in the scene to make your point. Or add some action to your image, have someone walk through the image and shot this from different angles to give the image a creative twist. Start trying to create images instead of the taking them. Thanks Joe

Nice attempt. This would make an awesome HDR. Joe is right; it is a nice picture, but there is no *wow* part of it. There is no single subject that draws your eye. What you are left with is just a great setting for a subject that isn't there. Imagine the exact same picture but with a grumpy 100 year old man sitting down next to the first house, or a small child looking out of the door, or a cat sitting on the window, or two businessmen shaking hands. Obviously you can't just set things like that up, but perhaps there was a good subject of some kind soon after the picture was taken. I have taken so many photos like this. It has something to do with how our brain processes scenes when you are actually there. You see something that for some reason has captured your interest, but the minute you put it on paper, you realize the interest was derived from something off frame. Either way, I do like how the roofs are at different levels, and I like the hints of red. TFS
