This is a nice image. I really like images with strong symmetry like this. I love the repeated gates and the lines in the pavement, the 'tree tunnel'. It's nice. Two comments for making it better. First, I think that the horizon line is tilted to the left. For images like this with strong graphic elements, I think that it is really important that everything be lined up perfectly. This is an easy fix in post processing. Second, while I like this image being made on a cloudy day with soft light so that there isn't any detracting shadows, I think that it would look better if it were taken at a different time of day. In general, I think that street scenes like this look much better at twilight. Especially if there are streetlamps in the image. I think the strong graphic lines created by the streetlamps would be emphasized when the lamps are turned on. Those are my ideas. KG |
