Tree versus the Sky

I took this the other day with a minimalistic idea in mind. I enjoy the complexity of the tree against the clear sky. The only thing that was changed in photoshop was a curves and levels adjustment.

How is the composition?
Should it be cropped at all?
How are the colors?
Any other comments/critique?

in general it's a nice shot. i'm no expert but the one thing that disturbs me about it is the off-balance nature of the composition. it's just right-heavy with the left side totally empty. maybe a cloud or a flying bird on the top-left would have balanced it neatly. those not being available, i'd probably just crop it square with the tree taking up most of the frame. still, it's not bad at all.
