This is one of those images that will get a lot of differing opinions I think.

I say this because, on the one hand, the technical aspects are quite good and probably beyond argument. Good focus. Good use of long shutter speed. Foreground interest. Decent (if a bit centered) composition.

On the other hand, the processing might be divisive. To me, I really don't like it. It feels a bit gimmicky as so many are doing the whole HDR/Dave Hill/uber contrast/etc look (which I see from your Flickr is your thing) and I don't like the overly saturated colors. Feels way to artificial to me. Others will love it because it's different, which is often good, it just doesn't work for me. I'd have loved to have seen this in b&w due to all the contrast in this image.

In the end, technically quite good, I just don't like the choice of post-processing.

Way too over saturated to be a good HDR pic.

I hate to sound mean, but this is not doing it for me!

The high contrast/highly-saturated colors are cool in some photos. This is not one of those photos! I just don't feel that nature photography and the heavy, modern-look post-processing really work together.

Thank you everyone for your comments! So you all feel that if I toned down the saturation in this shot I might have a chance to save its integrity?
