My first thought is that there is no real subject here. Sometimes I have to ask myself, "What is the subject of this picture?" Sure, there is a lake, a pier, and some trees, but what is the main subject? I don't really think you have one. In defending my own photos I have been know n to say that the subject is "the whole scene." That doesn't really cut it here with the lack of one element that draws you in. Hope that helps!

I appreciate your comment. You're right, this shot doesn't really have a subject. I guess my point is to express how I feel with the picture. Beautiful and bright sunny day by the lake. Thank you.

The first thing that came up to my mind as I saw the pictur was the unleveled horizon. I guess you straightened some pole of the pier, but the rest of the image is just...pendant.

There is an issue about the colours in the image, I notice a strange cast (yellow/magenta, maybe?).
