Default trippy trees

hey, just looking for a bit of a critique on this picture i took in south carolina a few months ago. i believe i was using either a somewhat panaramic lense or a telephot lens which gave it the blurred effect on each side, but i cant remember. do you like the blurred sides? anything you dont like? all critiques welcome, i'm very new to this! thankss

ISO 200
exposure time 1/500

I'm not sure how just a telephoto lens alone would make something blur unless you do a burst zoom technique, which you didn't do here with the 1/1500 speed.

The effect itself is interesting, but for my taste, I don't like it in nature photography. Maybe if you could do this same effect with neon lights, or with someone singing a rock song on stage - but with trees, this isn't doing it for me.

Sorry if that is harsh! That is my two cents!

I dont mind the effect but in this scene it gives somewhat of a challenge to the eyes... At 1/1500 I dont know how you would have captured such movement. Did you edit this at all in Photoshop or another program?

nope, the only editing i did to it was cropping it. i remember pretty much all my pictures turned out like that that day. i may have been using one of the cheapy lenses that the company that sold me my camera sent along with it as a bonus, could it be just a poor quality lense made an affect that it wasnt meant to? haha i have no idea! thanks for replying though.
