please, let me know what you think of this picture and what I could do to make it a much better one. I was so happy to learn of this forum because I really need the experienced eye of other people to help me grow in my photography.

I used a Nikon D90 with a Nikkor 18-105mm F/3.5-5.6G ED VR zoom lens in the in P mode

Welcome to DPS

While the fence leads the eye into the picture, the road on the RH does the opposite & is a distraction.

The converging diagonal lines out of both LH corners create a very strong image.

I agree with AgBeard...

Also, you could have stopped down half an EV on even more, without losing any details in the darkest areas...
