Default Old City Market, Jerusalem

I can't decide if I like this photo. It was taken in the Old City market area of Jerusalem. Handheld for motion effect. Thoughts on how to make this better?

I feel this is a little on the cluttered side. You have the sign in the upper left and what looks like an opening to another room in the bottom right. The opening in the bottom right is a different color from everything else in the hallway so it's quite distracting.

One thing that I like is that the diagonals created by the hallway are leading my eyes down the hallway while the motion of the people are pulling my eyes back to the right. It creates some nice tension.

If you're able to re-shoot this then I would start with getting rid of some of the distracting elements or try a crop or something. Memory is cheap so there's no pain in experimenting!

What was your ISO here? I did not see that in the EXIF information.

Personally, I am not nuts about so much blur from multiple people. Usually blur looks great in photos where just one object is blurred. But here, so many people blurred is displeasing to me. I would have cranked the ISO way up, then used a faster shutter speed to avoid that blur. Even if it seemed too dark, you could always brighten it up later with some post processing.

That is my two cents! :-)
