Default Night Landscape : Singapore

My first ever long shutter shot, about a week after I bought my first dslr (3 weeks back)

EXIF:
Canon 550D 10-22mm @ 22mm
f/22 @ 25 seconds - ISO 100

Quite a bit of noise at the darker areas. How should this shot be better taken? Thanks!

!! for a moment i thought the hotel lights were OOF !! - Then I realised I wasn't wearing my specs!

Like said earlier, very good for a first attempt.

However, night shots look great with a lot of "light elements" and detail. Try for a better spot and take tons of pics - thats the way you will improve. I know for a fact that Singapore looks fantastic with its skyline and water.
Also I would love to see a long exposure of the merlion with the water.

I love the wheel and the road. Nice first attempt.
What I think is wrong with the picture is that the road and wheel are only in a small part of the frame. And the rest is full with dark and not so interesting stuff.

There are indeed many more shots (and better) in clubsnap forums - of the singapore nightlife!

Okay, i shall aim to better compose my shots next time I do a night run!

And as montoya has suggested I shall try to increase the exposure a little next time! (I toned down the curves a little actually!)

Thanks for your kind comments guys!

- I'll try a merlion in the coming holidays
