What I did was reset the levels,added a bit of diffuse glow, worked on the foreground around the tree then Gave the whole thing a small amount of sharping just to bring back what the glow filter took away

Hi jolley,

These are quite interesting images. I really like the strong graphic shape of the tree. Personally, if I have to chose, I like the image that is more naturally processed because it better highlights the shape of the tree. In the second (lower) image, the top branches of the tree are blending with the clouds and are hard to see. I think that the 'ghost tree' would look better against a dark background.

But that is just my taste. Either way these are nice images.

P.S. It looks like you have some dust on your sensor. Can you see the the dark spots on the left side of the image? I would definately clone those out and clean the sensor.

I was going to say pretty much the same thing. In the processed photo, the sky and ground look nice, but the tree gets completely lost. I do like the first shot, it's a nice silhouette and the tree has beautiful shape.

Ditto on the dust spots...first thing I noticed.

I Notice those spots and will have find out how to clean the sensor
I think I over did the Diffuse glow, made i made it to white
