Blurry in places, sky blown out, car speeding by.

f3.5 is far too wide open for landscape shots, try around f10
Meter towards the top of the trees to get a balance between the sky, and trees.

Hi Stoneface,

This is great! It looks just like a magazine ad. I will agree with Cam Monroe that this image doesn't quite seem sharp enough, and since we don't know all of the exposure information, I don't want to say what might be the cause. However, I'm not worried about that. A little blur in the car and the trees doesn't bother me.

For me, I would like to see a longer horizontal crop. I think that this image just begs to be long and narrow. If it were my image, I would crop out the low cut green grass in the foreground and cut off the tops of the trees (this would also help with the blown out sky). I think that this would really emphasis the motion of the car. I think it would give it a kinetic feel.

I really like the light colored car against the dark background; it helps draw attention there. And congratulations on getting a perfectly straight horizon line. It is perfectly flat. Well done!

Re-reformatted. I tightened it up and knocked the edge off the sky. What do you think, now?

For something like this, go with a panoramic look. The car in the picture is ok, and works well. Recommend focussing on the car with a high shutter speed, and panning with your camera on a tripod. Check out my edited image attached (a really, really rough edit).

DC, I know it. When I took this photo I wasn't really trying to take a photo, I was more or less feelin' it out and playing with the features. It came out decent, so I kept it.

How in the world do you get that neat surreal look? Which tools do you like most for that?
