Some key observations on this photograph...

a. It appears to have been shot from a standing position which is more often that not, a passé vantage point. Consider shooting from low down, or trying out an unusual angle.
b. two sets of leading lines - the fence, and the path... but neither set leads to anything... this could be rectified using the method noted in (a) by using a lower angle to lead the viewer down the path. Also, the use of another angle would have worked well.
c. This has been shot in the middle of the day with harsh lighting and a very plain sky. I recommend shooting at sunrise or sunset, preferably with more clouds to add character.
d. Your choice of lens may not be the best fit for what you were looking to do. You've zoomed into 90mm which gives you very little coverage in terms of area. Consider getting closer while using something of the order of 18mm or less (or go panoramic stitched with a 55mm lens).

Hope these tips help.

Regards
