Default Snowcapped mountains

Exposure: 0.002 sec (1/500)
Aperture: f/11.0
Focal Length: 18 mm
ISO Speed: 400
Exposure Bias: 0 EV

Hi, I have a problem with the snow and the clouds and wish to not be merged so much on each other if you know what I mean. The colours are too similar and it seems like a bit of a white out near the top. How can I make them more separate!! I would love to make the sky more blue also..... any hints?

Use of a skylight filter or a polarizer could have helped.

Afterwars let photoshop do the job. But I'm not so artistic in postprocessing, so maybe someone else should help with tips here.

ps
I think it's quite ok yet.

Thats a great capture! Lovely landscape!

Absolutely agree with hifigraz, a polarizing filter would have made the sky a deeper blue

TFS!

You can use an adjustment layer to boost the colors and the contrast to do what you wanted with the sky and mountains

In the camera, consider using a polarizing filter, a graduated polarizing filter, or a graduated neutral density filter.
In the computer, you have the option of going High Dynamic Range, or using the Topaz plugins in Photoshop that will make a huge difference. I will give this one a shot later on tonight in its current form. If you would like me to take a crack at it in HDR, and have the original shot in RAW, email it to me, and I'll see what I can do.
