First time posting, pretty sure I'm in the right spot. I took this photo some time ago and just wanted to know what you guys think.

Symmetry in an image usually spells b-o-r-i-n-g, and while I would not call this image boring I would encourage you to look for a more dynamic angle. Two things suggest themselves if you get this chance again; 1) look for a frame, an arch or a tree branch you can shoot through would add loads of interest, and 2) have something very un-symmetrical break across it: a banner, a flock of birds, a long scarf floatiing in the breeze. As a matter of fact the device of symmetry broken by non-symmetry can be very powerful.

I think the problem with this shot is that it's too close. I think if possible, it would have been much better from further away, so the facade wasn't at such a steep angle. Also, it's not quite perfectly symmetrical, which takes away from the shot's impact. Sometimes with these kinds of scenes it is better to look for a close up of a particular feature, as so much detail in a shot can make the scene a bit confusing to the eye.
