Default Cricket

Hi,

Took this shot in Saltair, Yorkshire over the weekend. Any advice on where to crop? I've played with a couple of options and cannot decide.

Others comments welcome.

Thanks in advance!

Not very convinced about this being the best option (because it crops a quite big chunk of the image, including the cricket game), but it's an option.

What I do believe is, the sky up-right is too bare. Doesn't add much to the pic.

the first thing that caught my attention was the house not the cricket game.

. I'm new and do not know how to do the cropping examples. But making this like a pano would be nice as well. Starting your crop from the far left of the house and going all the way over to include the field of players. In essence take out the water; go along the tops of the trees and house all the way over and then down. That way you don't lose so much of the photograph and still include the field of players. Really nice photograph!

I thought of another possibility, which would allow having both house and cricket game in the frame...

That's exactly the crop I was about to post! I think it's the best available. Lovely colours in the shot, btw

My two cents.

Here is a 'Rule of thirds' crop to arrange various elements of the image.

Guys, many thanks indeed for your variuos ideas here. I think between the vertical crop of the house, river, tree and the horizontal crop or the cricket gae, I effectively get two shots for the price of one here!

Cheers.
