Could the composition be bettered? I would love to know feedback and opinion.

Could you tell us a bit more about the camera and settings used please? That will help when addressing technical aspects of the image, such as the overall softness.

Of course yes. The camera is a Canon 450D (I think in America it's called a Rebel something). The lens is an EF 100-400 that has seen better days with someone else. The available light was really low. I have a feeling this was closer than the minimum focusing distance and hence perhaps a bit out of focus. The lens per se may not be as soft as it looks here.
I don't remember the other exif details but most likely taken at f8 on auto setting.
I think I should have used a macro lens perhaps.
So much for equipment.

I really like the contrast of these two elements. I think, however, that it is a shame that the impact of the web is lessened significantly by being placed against the bright background. Maybe a change of angle would have helped with this or opening up the aperture to max?

Default Vignetting

How about adding a bit of Vignette?
And also if there was a chain on left had side of the photo I would have liked to see it in the final crop right on the edge.
But Sir, the photo is very good anyway

Thanks for the comments. It was basically a children's swing and to the left was an iron pipe not another chain. I will try the vignetting suggestion and let you know the result. Thanks once again.
