Default Troubled Pier

[

I dont even know what to ask. The sun was acctualy out there shining on the water behind the clouds but I dont think it looks anuthing like what I had hoped it would which has me perplexed.
Any ideas??

Todd, me again....rule of thirds horizon line...I took the liberty of doing a quick crop and edit. I'll post it if you want

Hi
Yes, I'd crop it as said, but other than that, I love this. Better than another sunrise or sunset. Would look great if the lights were on and as a naturalistic HDR. But as I always say....What do I know?

Hi
I agree with the crop, but the edit has taken away the appeal for me. I like the ominous colour, and personally (and as the sharpness is a little lacking) would not have enhanced so.

Had a pop myself. Don't usually play with other people's pictures. Anyway. converted (as the original was almost B&W anyway) in Slver Efex Pro. added some lighting.
