Default Local Park Water Feature

Pre and post Photoshop work. Couldn’t quite get the sky to pop like I wanted to, I think it came out ok.
C&C please

Thanks,
Rick

probably someone will remove the second picture, because it's not "allowed" to post two at once in that section...

I like the shot really but I think the second one is too warm. However the water is nice.
Maybe next time try to shoot such an image without getting the fence into the foreground.

But really a nice situation, and fine settings for the exposure.

I would agree that the second one is too warm, I'd also say that the first is too cool. Somewhere in the middle but fairly warm would be ideal. Also I think contrast needs boosting.

@hifigraz thanks for the feedback, I resized the images hopefully tah'll keep them form getting deleted. after not viewing the pictures for a day or so I agree that the PP is to warm, I'll go back in an work it some more.

@junglebear The first one is straight out of the camera with no work done. I went back and check some settings and found that I had the exposure and WB set incorrectly.

Thank you both for your feed back

Rick

Hi JBK617,

Nice shot! A pity of the fence in middle, but I see you managed to clone out the pole behind. Applied some tweaks to the original in PS, so to obtain that:

* Slightly increased CYAN saturation and lightness
* Slightly increased brightness and contrast (8 and 22, if I remember well)
* Added new adjustment layer for PHOTO FILTER; selected warm filter with density = 10%
* Finally erased from the new adjustment layer area of effect the sky part (because we don't want to apply the warming filter to it)

I find this way the rocks no longer have this blueish tone, while preserving the blue of the sky.

Greetings
