Beautiful. I especially like the pelican (or whatever it is) in the foreground.

Same as everyone else, i guess. I am trying to see what other photographers think about compositon, exposure, if it makes people feel anything, if it can be better, about the colors (no re-touch by the way !) if it moves you etc.. If it can be better.

The picture was taken from a whale watching boat which makes it a little difficult.

thanks!

Having been there a few times I can agree with you the Baja peninsula is fantastic regardless of time of year. Very nice shot, did you use a filter on the shot?

the photo is very grainy. you should try and use a tripod or set the camera down on a steady surface on a lower iso and longer shutter speed. other than that the sky is amazing and well composed.

These colours are wonderful. This is just another example of how pictures taken during the "golden hour" can look truly amazing!

Like lilgreen said, a pity there's so much grain.

I've made some tweaks in Lightroom, just how I'd do it, but of course everyone has a different style.

* Added 2 Graduated Filters, one on sky one on sea, with -55 brightness.
* Increased overall Fill Light to 30, so to brighten the harbor and hills.

IMHO the most interesting part of the picture is the silhouette of the hills cutting the amazing sky, and making the top and bottom parts of the picture darker can help it catch more attention. I cloned out the bird on the water as well, for that reason. But hey, that's just my personal interpretation

Regards

thanks lilgreen. Yes, its grainy, unfortunately we were on a moving boat so that is why i set the ISO at 800, it was hard to keep steady. I wish i had been on the ground at the time too!

thank you Aleix. I didnt notice the bird could be so distracting until you took it out. thanks for noticing it. What you did looks pretty good, i will try to use lower ISO to reduce grain next time.

thanks again!
