[QUOTE=LeeR;941332]I like really long exposures, so maybe my ten seconds is a bit longer than is absolutely necessary. I like for the water at the bottom of the falls to go white as well as the falls, but that's just me. Here is a shot I took at more than 20 seconds.

Your capture is really good I was trying to a similar effect :S But no where as good ;( I wasn't able to do a very long exposure because I didn't have my tripod with me

Thanks for the detailed suggestions

Any suggestions on how I can improve on the overall composition?

Simply set your aperture to what you need for DOF, select your lowest ISO for image quality, and adjust the ND filter until you get 1 second or a little slower.

Before the variable ND, I had a set of three different powered ND's that did the same thing...just had to figure out which one to use that will put you at least at 1 second exposure.
I think this technique of using the ND filters will surely make capturing a silky water effect more direct and easy . . But unfortunately I am still an amateur in photography Still need save up for more gear :P I am looking in either getting a ND filter (Which I still need to do more research on) OR a polarized filter (For landscapes. . etc)

Thanks for the detailed suggestions and tips Really appreciated
