Default Bridge Lighting

I went out about a week ago trying to capture the partial moon and this bridge together... it didnt work, but did come back with this photo... im happy, but not too happy...

Bascule Night 01 -3406
Exposure: 7.1 Aperture: f/7.1 Focal Length: 100 mm ISO Speed: 200

Do you feel that it is too dark in the top and bottom and any pointers on what to do with the bright light (which is how they lit the other side of the bridge)

also, composition help? other than moving more and showing more of the bridge... but from this angle i couldnt do all of that....

thanks for looking and appreicate all feedback

I love the colors and the reflections, however, it would have been better to show the whole bridge. Unfortunately, as you mentioned, it wasn't possible from there.

Can you get out on that dock which is sticking out into the lower right of the image? I think this scene would look best with a view of the blue part of the bridge and the tower/building to the left of it. along with the reflection in the water. A smaller aperture would help with the bridge light as well as sharpen the way the light falls on the bridge.
