I think the point of view is too ordinary,it might be better if you crouch or tilt the camera downward so the horizon follows the rule of thirds

to go with your "themes" i would get down on the ground, and shoot a little upwards...
maybe crop a little of the top out thanks for sharin... and that looks like that can be a nice pathway all throughout the year

Yes I agree I'd pretty much put the camera on the ground for this. Just slightly off. It will emphsise the path much better. Maybe stand a bit to the right for it too. To still look down the path but not to have it centered in the frame.
