Default Night Shot Of a Hill Side View

Hi All,

This is a night shot taken of the Hill Side View from my Apartment Balcony, EXIF data details are as below

Camera: Canon EOS 1000D
Exposure: 30
Aperture: f/8.0
Focal Length: 155 mm
ISO Speed: 100
Exposure Bias: 0 EV
Flash: On, Fired
Metering Mode: Center-weighted average
Lens Type: Canon EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 USM
Tripod Used : Yes

Iam pretty new to this so any feedback on how i can further improve would be great.

I think if you wouldn't have used flash and used a slower shutter speed may have captured the hills on the background and the sky a bit better.

Here are some tips on how to capture night shots... good luck
