Hi! Nice picture! Do you have a specific question for critique or did you just wish to post your shot? If you just want to post your work, I would recommend using one of the "post your shots" forums. The critique section is for getting answers to your questions concerning composition, exposure, etc.. Also, do you have some EXIF data? Take a look at the critique forum rules.

I think that the post processing (pp) is fine. I also like the like the contrast, it really gives a feel for what sort of a day it was.

The one change I think might be of use would be to have less of the tree the next time you take the shot. I feel like it is more of a distraction in the photo. Especially since - from your title - the subject is the fog.

I think it's quite good. The composition layout flows pretty well and the fog plays well with the frost on the trees. I think the contrast could probably be boosted just a bit more as the exposure seems just a tad bright. Also, the frost isn't as noticeable as it could be. That's more a condition of the light source location than your camera.

Personally, I see just a little hint of warmth (pink) in the fog and for some reason I'm driven to want more. Maybe try boosting the color temperature and see what happens. I could be wrong here. It might also look pretty good as a black and white conversion.

Nice job!

Thank you. Will boost the contrast just a bit more, and possibly try lightening the shadow on the tree a bit to try to bring out more of the frost. It really was sort of low light here, and the sun was just trying to peek through the fog but will give the boosts a bit more and then re-post here, also a b/w conversion to compare.

Adjusted color and contrast a bit more, did not like the b/w conversion as too much noise

Not bad! I like the second one better. But it might be a bit too saturated for most tastes. I just like highly saturated images.

Maybe try something about half way in-between as far as saturation goes?

Navcom, thanks so much for the advice. I had the original printed 16x20, and the pinks are much more visible in the enlargement! Turned out with the mood I was going for after all!
