Default Rays of gold

Living in the tropics sun is always shining here.. ..

Taken hand held..didnt have my tripod with me

Any suggestions to improve on composition etc

using the rule of thirds. Place the sun on one of those grids and ask if it falls right on the line?
imo, it needs a bit more on the bottom to fall within the rules and to balance the image. Otherwise its quite beautiful

Hi Aztek,

Great image! I love the silhouette and the color. You nailed the exposure! Perfect!

As for composition, I like the low position of the sun and how it is framed by two of the palm trees. I agree with windrider86 that I wish that it had more at the bottom. Also, I think that it would look better with less of the clouds on the top. I would like to see the image cropped so that it ends with the tops of the trees. I think that would make it about the silhouette and not about the sky.

Great image. I wish I had taken it.
