using the rule of thirds. Place the sun on one of those grids and ask if it falls right on the line?
imo, it needs a bit more on the bottom to fall within the rules and to balance the image. Otherwise its quite beautiful

Hi Aztek,
Great image! I love the silhouette and the color. You nailed the exposure! Perfect! As for composition, I like the low position of the sun and how it is framed by two of the palm trees. I agree with windrider86 that I wish that it had more at the bottom. Also, I think that it would look better with less of the clouds on the top. I would like to see the image cropped so that it ends with the tops of the trees. I think that would make it about the silhouette and not about the sky. Great image. I wish I had taken it. KG |
