Default Heceta Head Light House

I posted this in SYS also. I welcome any comments/suggestions.

Heceta Head Light House - Florence Oregon, supposedly the most photographed light house in the country.

Nice...what pp did you do why did you set the F stop at 6.3, why not smaller opening and increase the iso and slowe shutter?

There's a lot to like but what bothers me about this is the title ... if you wanted to make the lighthouse the subject you would have had to move in a lot closer. The lighthouse is just too far away in my opinion, otherwise nice job.

f_stop - I see where you're going, and in general I agree. In this instance, I was looking to capture not only the light house itself, but the ocean and hillside. I guess I could have put more thought into the name. Thanks for the input

Tony - As for the post, being a noob, I hit the auto enhance button in Aperture 3.0. I opted for the 1/400 shutter speed because this shot was hand held at a distance, I chose this f-stop trying to get a larger DOF to capture everything in focus. I appreciate the response, it made me sit and think about why I did what I did.

Thanks again,
Dan

I like the fact that my attention is drawn towards the lighthouse; despite the fact that the mountain dwarfs it.

The only thing that I think could be improved [for me] is the focus on the lighthouse. When viewing the image on flickr I noticed the the lighthouse is slightly blurry.
