Default My first night shot on my new,FIRST, dslr.

This is my first night shot and was wondering if there is anyway i could improve the shot... Change of position, different angle... basically i need to know if it is any good at all. i need as much help with night photography as possible.
Nikon D5000
18-55 mm VR lens (18 mm)
ISO 200

I really like it. You should fix the Horizon and it's a shame that the street lamps are a little overpowering drawing attention to them but I love the sky. It is good for a first attempt, I'm not really good enough to expand any further than that.

I think youve done a great job. I'm new to dslr's and night photography too so im not sure I can help with critique all that much but the sky and moon is fantastic. I agree that the street lights are too bright. For me the street lights on an angle are a little distracting but I don't know how that would affect the horizon if you were to straighten them up. Fantastic first attempt, well done.
